If I have to reset a certain users password one more time she is getting U@rN1D10t as the next password. Sorry, had to vent. I then thought this was rather amusing and I needed to make a note of it before I forgot it, and really wanted to use it. Ha, made you look. the P90X program for these weeks is on hiatus. Why you may ask. The first reason was a long driving trip to Utah. I drove about 1600 miles in one weekend. There was just too much going on to be doing the workouts. The driving, racing and scenery was awesome. Look at that view As for a workout, driving a car at high speeds in a race will really wear you out fast. I also rode go-carts so much I have a bruise on my thighs and mid back and my forearms where just toast by the end of the day. My back side is still tired a few days after the long drive home after driving all weekend. So, now that it’s week4 day 3, I feel that I could start to start up the workouts once again. Someone I talked with who is a graduate of P90X said that I should just start back up with week3 where I stopped. I have at least attempted to stay on track with the diet plan and eat more proteins, fruits and veggies. Although, the conference had breakfasts that were ALL 100% carbs every morning. I actually skipped 2 breakfasts of donuts to go eat something like a ham and cheese omelet. I will wait for the return from Mexico to start back up on week3. Funny how week3 will commence on week6 Oct18th. At least I don’t have any travel plans for the rest of the year. The plan should still be able to get me ready for the ski season and looking awesome for Spring Break!! Day 15 One part, a big part, is being able to follow the nutrition plan for the workout. I don’t know if I am not recording things right or don’t know my portions, but I seem to be under eating every day so far. I have am not someone that eats a lot in one sitting and usually like a little snack laying around at my desk. I have been good at not eating loaded carbs and candy or junk, which has been harder than it seems. Just you wait and see. You start this no or low carb diet and all of a sudden everyone shows up with free Donuts and ice-cream socials and everyone you ever met is having a birthday with big yummy cakes. Darn made myself hungry. I did find some Good things to eat for this diet that I may not have eaten before. Bad things: I have tried a few thing that are just plain nasty. Why does healthy food have to taste like ass. - If you want that bad tasting lingering oh my god that was the nastiest thing I have ever eaten? Try yourself a Larabar “Jocolat” German Chocolate Cake flavored piece of donkey’s ASS!!! I just ate one (well I took a bite and about blew chunks). This bar looked like shit and tasted like Barf. Seriously. Like you just mixed 20 types of alcohol and finished it off with Baily’s Irish Cream, Coconut rum and Lime juice along with a good handful of black walnuts you have to chew while drinking the gloopy concoction. Your mouth is so full of nasty you think it’s all going to come out of your nose. I had to run to the bathroom and spit it out. I was telling someone how bad it was and we said it must have been the first bite or maybe it was outdated. I checked the date, and it had almost a year left before it went “Bad”. That would be an awful fate to try an outdated one of these suckers. We smelled it and it was chocolate, sort of. Maybe I was over reacting and it couldn’t have been that bad. ?? I remember doing something like this over extremely hot chicken wings (they couldn’t have been that hot? They were!!). So I tried another bite. GOD IT WAS WORSE THAN I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT!! I’m typing this a half hour late and still feel like I have pickled corned-beef and radishes firmly lodged in my nose. If you want to see someone just hurle after working out, give them one of these suckers. Better yet, haul one with you on a night on the town and give it to some unsuspecting youngster who just turned 21 and is having a wee bit too much fun. Make sure to have your camera out before they take a bite and stand back. Oh, I did great and did the Arms and Shoulders workout with vigor. I started with 35lb weights for the 1st couple sets of curls. I was down to 12lbs for the last couple of sets by the end. I have not been able to do the side raises yet because I do this workout in the gym at work (they have weights) because there isn’t enough room to be lying around. I do the laying down overhead extensions on a bench, but it’s too small to lay sideways on. I’m usually spent by time this “extra” routine comes around. Day 16 Felt like I was on track this week so I did the Legs and Back last night to the best of my ability. I still need one leg up on a bench for the 900 pullups, but I hung in there for all of the leg workouts. After the Ab blaster at the end I had a hard time getting off of the floor. My abs didn’t work, my arms didn’t work, my chest, back and shoulders felt weak, and my legs were still burning. I think I slept last night only because of the 8 hour Tylenol I took, and it was still shaky and restless. I just did not want to get out of bed in the morning. I guess that is a problem with doing the workouts after work. Tomorrow is Kempo and I am physcing my self up to do it. As I will be closer to on track if I can. Friday is volleyball league and it’s a Stretch Relax day. Awesome as that works perfectly into my schedule. Speaking of schedules. I am a bit apprehensive about upcoming Vacations. I am going auto racing in the middle of next week and am not sure if I can continue the grueling workouts and drive cars fast. A couple hours of racing and your arms, chest and legs feel like rubber. Then 2 weeks from now I am headed to Cancun for a week of sun and golf. Again, I am not sure that I can continue the workouts if I am playing 18 holes everyday and swimming, volleyball, and playing in the pool. I figure that if I am active, eating healthy and enjoying myself the P90X can take a hiatus for a bit. I do think I might hit the gym once or twice at the resort just to lift a few weights and do some pullups so I don’t loose momentum. I should take some of my protein, before and after workout drinks along on both trips for sure regardless if I’m working out or not. Day 17 Toward the end of the cycle of workouts I tend to be pretty tired, and sore. When I got home from a hard day at work I needed a little nap to carry me through the evening. I was planning on doing the Kempo workout and the kids were anxious to join in. It turned out Grandpa was in town so we all went out for dinner and didn’t get home until late. Great evening, but Kempo will have to wait. Day 18 Today is volleyball league night. I am supposed to do Kempo, or skip Kempo and make today a rest/stretch day. Because of Volleyball I think I will just do some stretching and play in the league tonight as my workout for today and count yesterday as the “rest” day. I don’t want to delay the schedule any longer due to the upcoming trips. Day 8 Day 9 Anyway, I did well today and did the Chest and Back workout for the 2nd time. I ended up toasting my arms with 125 various types of pushups in 40 minutes and over 50 pullups. I could barely carry my lunch back to work. I still had to coach volleyball tonight and did well, but stick a fork in me and ice my chest I am taking 10 aspirin and headed to bed. I had to say the lunch from Safeway was huge and just what I needed after the workout. I got 2 chicken breasts and a thigh, big portion of fruit salad and a nice pile of turkey and cranberry salad along with a 32oz ice tea for $5. I should head back just for that Turkey salad as it was good, could use some celery next time I get it, but other than that twas awesome. Day 10 I have a nice massage scheduled to help relax the muscles and myself. Only problem is that I will have to to the Plyo workout sometime at night, before dinner. Ouch. Well, I had the massage and it was relaxing, but I found all of the muscles that still hurt and they are numerous. Got home from a long day and passed out, dead cold, I didn’t even hear Brianna downstairs with friends dancing to some Wii game. Woke up with a cramp in the right hamstring, sore left knee and left calve. No sense in doing the plyometrics -jump squat jump squat- exercise and injuring myself. I guess that is life where your body says no -more buddy you better take a break. I hate to sound like I’m angry or being a whimp, but there is no reason to injure yourself on a self paced workout program. P90X I’m coming, but it’s going to take this dude a little longer than 90days to get there. I plan on getting there, but I want to be happy about it and in one piece when I do. Day 11 No P90X workout today. I did play 2 hours of Volleyball and was glad the 1st game was slow so I could ease into playing to see how the “hammy” held up. I wasn’t jumping as high as I would have liked, but there wasn’t much pain. I think I might be back in the clear. Day 12 Yay! I did Ploymetrics this morning. I tried my best to keep up with the routines and go a low as I could and jump as high as I could. I was using my new Birthday Present heart rate monitor and was running right around 150bpm. I did have to give up 35 minutes into the workout as I was just dead and was time constrained. Kids have soccer this morning. I did make sure to do the last 5 minutes of cool down and stretch though. So, 40 minutes out of 60 isn’t too bad after a few days break. Day 13 Whoops, had every intention of doing Yoga today and so much happened that it’s now 9pm and too late. I tried to do Yoga once late at night thinking it was a stretching and relaxing type of exercise. Wrong. Oh, well have to mark another day missed. Yes, I was excited to finally get my new IPhone 4. I had never had an IPhone. (F…! THIS KEYBOARD AND IT’S GOD DAMN STICKY KEYS) Sorry off tangent. The keys on my keyboard stick so you think that you have pressed a button and nothing happens. I’m wearing the letters out on the backspace. Mostly it’s the space bar key and if it sticks one more friggen time I’m busting this thing up. Sorry. Back to fixing the broken screen on the I-Phone 4. 1st thing. The screen is covered in glass and can cut yourself so you need to clean out the broken loose glass the best you can. * Take some packing tape (Don’t use duct tape just yet as it can dirty up the glass) or scotch tape and cover the front face with it. * Turn on the IPhone and see if you can still use it. If the LCD underneath is damaged you have to fork over the dough and get a new LCD/Digitizer/Screen combo. I found some listed on E-Bay for around $130, but I think you can buy one at the Apple store yourself for $150. * Order a screen – Digitizer combo from some nice place in Hong Kong and wait about 2-3 weeks for the replacement to show up. * I ordered one that came with some tools and a nice purple guitar pick for around $35 shipped. Tomorrow I work the documentation for taking the phone apart and for separating the screen/digitizer from the LCD. The plan now is to skip the suction cup as it won’t stick to the broken glass. I plan on using Gorilla Tape to cover the front screen and leave handles so that the screen can be held easier. Plus the tape will catch most of the broken glass. I owe some pictures and a link for taking the phone apart. Steps # Watch the video Disassemble I-Phone 4 # Step up an area or piece of paper labeled with the steps so you can find the screws and parts when you reverse the steps. # Stop what you are doing and re-think this. So after starting to write this and doing more research it really is said that you can’t take the screen/Digitizer off of the LCD. BUT! I did read that you could order an LCD and a screen/Digitizer separately and just put both of them in as separate unit’s over one unit pressed together. This makes sense. If the screen/Digitizer is “super glued” to the LCD as they say. Then there may be a way to separate the 2, but it will be very very difficult to do the separation of the two and not damage the LCD or leave the front of the LCD marred, scratched or covered in glue. For now I chickened out after removing just the battery. The parts are small and the clips are small. It seems putting it back together will be much harder than taking it apart. I do think that there should be a way to pull or shave the glass off of the LCD. I just don’t want to try my theories without the correct parts so that I can rebuild my phone. I thought I might as well Blog about my P90x experience as I run through the program. I titled this entry as day one, but really it’s day 3. It took me a couple of days to realize that I was sending emails everyday to the group I am doing the program with. I decided I should just Blog about it instead. That way all of my readers can see my wonderful progress. Yeah, all 3 (me, myself and I). Now where did I put those before pictures?? I’d better start on the fake spray on tan now for the 90 pictures so I can look like the ads. Lol Day 1 was a killer. It was all push-ups and pull-ups. I felt like I needed to soak my chest in ice afterwards. It would have helped me a bit to have had a set of weights, but I don’t at home so I filled a 5 gallon jug with water that had 2 handles and made myself a 42Lbs weight to work with. I couldn’t get the videos on the I-Pad to work as my computer was still being rebuilt and the new build did not recognize the I-Pad, so I had to start over. I didn’t like doing the workout much in the Office by the computer, but I did what I could. In the end I felt using the chair for pull-ups was better as doing 10 with the chair vs 2 without, seemed like the 10 was better for a start. I also started to use my knees for the last push-ups as I could do 8 that way and none otherwise. Day 2 So day 2 workout consists of: Jump squat, jump squat, jump jump squat. Breath deep sweat a lot, pass out and then do one more squat. The worst part is that I had 3 flights of stairs to climb after the work out, then 2 flights to walk down to get to the lunch room. I felt I could do most of the exercises and keep up this time, I just need to work on getting lower. And keeping my heart rate out of the 180′s or higher. In all I liked that program as it reminded me of the stuff I used to do for the ski team. It was only missing the ski pole stance, wide jump sideways routine. Oh, the Ipad worked great. I kept thinking I might have needed a longer headphone cord, but then felt if it was longer it might be more in the way. I found a bike machine where the seat went up way high and was rubbery, so I could place the Ipad there and watch the program about chest high in front of me. I had to use headphones as there was music, 3 TV’s and a workout class in the other room at the same time. Day 3 Took the IPad back to the gym for the Arms and Shoulder workout. I think I will get better at this stuff as I watch the videos, because the 1st time you have no clue what it next or what they are doing and what you need to be ready. In the end I had weights (20lbs, 15lbs and 12lbs) along with a few bands. I was using the bands for the stuff that needed a chair as I didn’t have a real chair to use. I did need a longer headphone cord for this day. Day 4 Holy crap!!! I’m sweating my ass off. Plus doing this in the office with no good ventilation is all wrong. Did I plan this all wrong. It was a pain in the ass and I was toast after 40 minutes and the damn thing is 95 minutes long. For some reason I thought all of the exercises where like 60 minutes. I can’t complete the Yoga today because I started my workout at 9:30pm and I don’t want to stay up until midnight. Plus I don’t think I can sleep after doing an intense workout. Shit and I found that I didn’t do the Ab blaster thing yesterday. Same reason I was at work and have an hour lunch, my workout was at about 80 minutes when I was done with the arms and I still needed to get something to eat. Now I’m finding that it’s not the routines that I won’t be able to do, it’s the length of time involved with each. I just don’t think I can dedicate 1.5 to 2 hours for working out everyday. I’m sort of pissed off about this. Oh, well. Like tonight I am going to do what I can and get better as I go. I will have to plan a little more in advance to make sure I can have the time to finish a workout. Easier said that done with a heavy child activity schedule, and needing to be at work at 6:30 am. That kills the early workout options. So I can use 11am to 12:30 on a few days and 4-6pm on some others where the kids aren’t busy. I won’t start a work out again after 8pm that isn’t going to work because going to bed will be hard and it will be hard to sleep. So I still owe myself an ab workout and the 2nd half of Yoga. Day 5 Hum. Writing this before the Actual day 5 so I think I will do my make up ab workout tomorrow at lunch. I did do the Ab Blaster today at lunch. Then played 9 matches of volleyball from 6pm to 9pm. Wish I had a heart rate monitor on to see how I did. I won 5 matches and lost 4. It was a bummer to play the best team on the 1st night with a Free Agent team who hasn’t had time to gel. I was getting upset that the team members just didn’t move and then I was making mistakes myself. I ended up being more mad at myself. I don’t know if the program made me stronger, but slower in the matches. I know I was hitting the ball hard. I can feel that I had a pretty good workout and that my legs, arms, shoulder, mid-back and heart ache a little after wards. Day 6 The back and legs workout was not too bad or too long. I found that if I use a chair for support I can do more pullups. More being 7 to 10 instead of 2 to 4 without the chair. Looking forward to the Kempo workout tomorrow, I hope it’s not too long like the Yoga as I have a short time window for the workout today. Day 7 Day 7 was a bust. Life happened. I was out of town all day and didn’t get home until too late. It is difficult to schedule an hour plus workout everyday of the week when you have kids, full time job, hobbies and sports that don’t consist of working out. I won’t let this little thing stop me I’ll get right back up and into the program. People with too much time on their hands, no hobbies, social skills and completely way nerdier than thou have come up with the ultimate in Nerdism. The Math Limerick.

Batch files can only handle parameters %0 to %9, ie cmd.bat Foo Bar where in the cmd.bat Foo=%1 and Bar = %2
